What's your weekend book choice? I'm working through the prequel to Priory of the Orange Tree right now! I'm a third of the way in and I'm sad to admit it still hasn't gripped me quite like Priory. The characters haven't quite taken shape for me even this far into the book. Inciting events have started, though, so maybe this will get better.

So maybe it's just me, but I didn't enjoy this as much as I hoped I would. I love sci-fi and hadn't read it in a while, since I've been busy reading tragically sad contemporary literature. Something about the narrative perspective just didn't work for me. Since the Murderbot books are quite short, I might try the second book just to see if it changes my mind.
